Mother Nature is affecting the plaster schedule as the weather forecast calls for rain this week, but continues to change days and % of chance of rain. The plasterer cannot schedule until the weather pattern is clear and dry. We as a community certainly need the rain and everyone is anxious to enjoy the new pool area. In this case, Mother Nature wins.
Wolf Creek is also experiencing a glitch with the provider of the new pool furniture. It has been ordered for some time, but a deposit cannot be provided until the vendor provides proof of Work Comp insurance and liability insurance as well as naming Wolf Creek and Avalon as additional insured’s. This is required from anyone providing a service at the community center.
The furniture vendor will not place the order with the manufacturer until they get their deposit, while continually failing to provide proof of insurance. The issue is this is the Inland Empire, O.C., San Diego exclusive distributor for Tropitone Furniture and thus it is not easy to order from someone else.
Jayson our community property manager has been following up on a regular basis and each time they promise to send the documents immediately, but fail to do so. This issue will be discussed tonight at the Closed Session Board meeting.
In the event Wolf Creek cannot get the pool furniture delivered on time for the pool opening, the pool will open with resident’s bringing their own folding chairs and towels until delivery.
If we lose the ability to plaster the pool this week, then we are looking at the pool re-opening around May 15th/16th. Sooner if weather permits!
