New On-Site & Gym Hours!

7/27/2015

Picture
The Board recently reviewed a request to have the gym open for longer hours in the evening and after researching the many factors that go into decisions, they approved longer hours for our facility!

The gym will now be open from 8 AM to 1 PM on Sundays and 6 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday.  The extra hour should allow the gym to get more use for those that work longer hours.

The Board also approved longer on-site office hours so residents my drop off assessments, ask questions about the facilities and have access to personnel.  The new office hours will be 9 AM to 12 PM on Sunday and 7 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Saturday.

The Board is always looking for ways to improve our facilities and usage, while still maintaining our monthly assessments at a reasonable level.  Their hope is that this additional time will be beneficial to our residents.  If you have any questions about this change, please email [email protected].

Wolf Creek Community Center Update

7/21/2015

The Wolf Creek Board of Directors met last night. At the request of residents, the issue of no jumping into the pool was placed on the Agenda as well as increasing the gym hours.

The Board sought opinion from our legal counsel Cang Le regarding the pool and drought issues. Cang Le advised the Board that the Governor recently removed community and public pools from the drought requirements. Based on that advice, the Board voted to immediately revoke the policy of no jumping into the pool. This change is now in effect.

Gym hours were reviewed as well. Jayson researched H.R. issues regarding mandatory lunch breaks after five hours of work which requires the gym be closed for a 30 minute lunch break.

Jayson advised there is a waiver of that rule if the employee agrees to waive the lunch break but does not work more than 6 hours per day. Our evening staff Teresa has agreed to sign the waiver and legal counsel has drafted the necessary documents.

As soon as the waivers are completed and signed by all parties, the gym hours will be expanded to 9pm every evening.

Again, residents are urged to contact Jayson@[email protected] or Board President Brad Sullivan, D.C. at [email protected] with any recommendations, issues or concerns.

Please remember that posting on Facebook does not constitute notice to the HOA.

Pool Update - July 13

7/13/2015

The Board wanted to inform all the homeowners that the pool will reopen tomorrow at 8 AM.  The leaks were located and repaired so the pool will be fully operational for resident use.  The Board appreciates your patience with the delays and closure.  Please contact Avalon with any questions.

Pool Update - July 10

7/10/2015

The Wolf Creek Pool will be open today and then closed until Tuesday morning. The leak repair contractor had a cancellation and can begin the work on Saturday and the Board did not want to delay as the current leak is substantial.  The Board's goal is to have the pool repaired and open for the remainder of the summer season.  As long as no other leaks are detected, the Association will make the other repairs after swim season.

The Wolf Creek Baord would like to everyone for your understanding and flexibility. Our goal is to get this done right and as quickly as possible.

Wolf Creek Garage Sale

Association Pool

7/9/2015

Just a reminder that Wolf Creek only has one pool for the residents to use located at the Wolf Creek Community.  Please do not attempt to use other pools in the area or within subdivisions of Wolf Creek.  These pools are for private use for their residents and jumping the fence or waiting for the gate to be open will not be tolerated by their Associations.

Pool Update

7/9/2015

Hi everyone:

The leak detectors completed their tests and have confirmed a large leak at the junction of the 6" pipe that divides into two 4" manifold pipes for the skimmers.

In order to make this extensive of a repair, the company needs two weeks to put together the equipment, supplies and crew.

I have asked our Pool Tech to re-connect all pipes disconnected for the test, prime and start the pump motor and filter the pool for a temporary re-opening. Once we have the scheduled locked down, I will let everyone know of the planned repairs. It is our intent to do these repairs as quickly as possible and during the week so everyone can enjoy the pool on the weekends.

The pool will re-open 8 AM Friday morning. Again, thank you to everyone for your understanding during this unbelievable problem following a complete re-build of the pool. There are other issues that continue to be a problem but will continue emptying the pool to repair and we won't do those until after the swim season is over and we are assured we will be able to re-fill the pool.

Best,

Brad Sullivan
Wolf Creek Board President

Important Information-Notice of Pool Closure

7/8/2015

The pool leak detection experts believe they have found two potential large leaks that require at minimum, two more days of testing.
Part of this testing requires the deck and dirt be removed on the north side of the pool as well as cutting into the 6" pipes and capping them to test for leaks under the foundation.
The Pool is closed until further notice to locate and repair the leak. The new deck is being removed and the pool manifold pipe must be dug out to determine viability of the system. If the leaks are found quickly and the repair is easy, we hope to open by this Saturday. If more complicated issues are discovered, it may take longer. The Board apologizes for this inconvenience and thanks everyone for their understanding and cooperation.
