The Association has passed the final inspection and is on target to opening the pool area on Sunday, May 17.  A couple of things to remember:

1. The new pool furniture will not be in the pool area until early June. 
2. There will be landscaping work completed the week of May 18.  
3. There is still work occurring in and around the community center.  However, it should be completed before the summer season.
4. Review the pool rules and abide by them.  The pool monitor stationed within the pool area will be enforcing the rules to allow everyone enjoyment of the pool area.

Don't forget to make arrangements to pick up the new key fob at the onsite office.  Tenants must have owner permission prior to obtaining.  

Hi everyone, by the end of today, all plumbing work connecting the filtration and chemtrollers will be complete.

The Health Department is scheduled to inspect the entire project and hopefully give us a final sign off so we can start the heaters and filters in preparation of Sunday’s ( May 17th ) re-opening of the pool. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow, we do not know if the inspector will come out during rain.

Please continue to watch for updates between now and Sunday as we hope to confirm final sign off tomorrow.

In the event we do not receive sign off, the opening will be delayed, as we cannot legally open the pool without it.

Upon final sign off, the pool heaters and filters will then be turned on. The spa and wader pool will be fully heated within 24 hours. The large pool ( 129k gallons ) will take 3 to 5 days depending on outside temperatures to completely heat.

Avalon has been advised that the new pool furniture will arrive at the distributor on June 4, 2015. As such, we anticipate the furniture being delivered and set up poolside no later than June 10, 2015. In the interim, please feel free to bring your personal lawn chairs and lounges for your use during the time of your visit.

Hi everyone! The Wolf Creek Pools are on schedule to open Sunday May 17th, 2015!

The HOA has not received the delivery date from Tropitone Pool Furniture as of this morning. Every effort is being made to expedite delivery.

Until the new pool furniture arrives, residents may bring their own pool and lawn chairs to use during their time at the community pool. While the HOA recognizes this is an inconvenience, the decision was made to keep the opening on time and not wait for the furniture.

If you have not exchanged your Key Fobs for the new ones, you are encouraged to do so prior to May 17th to avoid standing in line with your fellow resident procrastinators.

Your old Fobs will no longer work, so you will need to come to the front gate and rattle the door so staff can let you in.

Some exciting features of the new pools that we know will increase everyone’s enjoyment are:

1. State of the art chemical controllers that are now monitored via the pool service smart phone
   
2. New filtration media that is capable of filtering down to 3 microns vs the former 11-15 microns
   
3. All new state of the art Skimmer’s with an additional skimmer added on the east end of the pool to stop the prior stagnation of oils and leaves
   
4. New LED lighting in the spa and large pool to reduce energy consumption and maintenance
   
5. New state of the art Security system designed to protect the community center 24hrs/day seven days per week.
   
6. New drought tolerant plant scheme on North Side of the pool with a new water delivery system that delivers water to the roots only. This is projected by our landscaper to reduce water consumption in this area of our landscape by 85%.
   
7. Pool monitors on site to improve the quality and enjoyment of everyone’s stay at the community center. 
   

Finally, the Wolf Creek Lifestyle Board will be hosting a pool re-opening party on a date to be announced with food, drinks, added tables for everyone to enjoy fellowship with other residents and background music.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! We have news to cause celebration! It’s official, the Wolf Creek pools will open on Sunday May 17th 2015!

At this point we don’t anticipate any delays and weather is no longer a factor. All three pools are now filled and the curing process for the plaster is underway!

On May 14, 2015 the Health Dept inspector is scheduled to test our chemicals and sign off on the new chemical control systems. Once that is completed, the pool heaters will be turned on.

Late May 16th a final test of all pool systems will occur and if everything is as it should be, the pool opens the next day.

As I mentioned in a previous update, Tropitone the pool furniture manufacturer is running approximate 2-3 weeks behind in production and the new pool furniture will not arrive until early June.

In the meantime, feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or lounges and enjoy the new pools!

Below are two pictures showing the plastering of the large swimming pool. A crew of over a dozen workers was here to knock it out quickly.

If you haven’t yet obtained your new Key Fobs, please attempt to do so prior to the pool opening as I anticipate a lot of our residents will be obtaining them during the early summer and this may cause you to have to wait.

Your old fob will not work, but just rattle the front gate and staff will let you in to the office. You will not be able to use the pool until you obtain the updated FOBS.

Every resident that exchanges their FOB also received the updated pool rules. These rules were promulgated to improve the quality of your experience at the pool area.  These rules underwent several public hearings with residents and were refined significantly from the initial rules with no residents present to object at the final reading.

This summer we will have a pool monitor at the pool during peak hours to help everyone become familiar with the new rules and to assure everyone’s enjoyment.

Finally, the community center has a new “state of the art” security system. This system will immediately recognize anyone coming into the pool area after hours and summon the police. The HOA has signed a letter with the Temecula Police Chief authorizing trespassers to be arrested onsite. This will prevent the after hour parties that were happening in the spa.

So come enjoy the new pool facilities this summer! The Lifestyle Corporation will be sponsoring a Pool Grand Re-opening in June ( date to be determined and announced ) that will include food, beverages and music.

On behalf of the entire Wolf Creek Board, I thank all of our residents for their patience and understanding during this process. This past week has seen many children come to the fence and tell our construction workers “Thank You for fixing our Pool”.  When I tell them it will be open in 12 days, they literally shout for joy!
