Hi everyone. If you are tired of the traffic gridlock on the 15 freeway, I would like you to join me in contacting the "rebootmycommute.org" site and seek their support to upgrade the 15 freeway. Riverside County was awarded a grant of 114 million dollars by the Federal Government to use for easing traffic congestion. The city of Temecula is requesting 50 million dollars from that grant to support Hwy 15 improvements to mitigate traffic congestion. 70% of the traffic during peak drive times is just passing through Temecula. They do not live here, they live in our surrounding communities. As such, fixing the 15 freeway will be a benefit not only to our residents, but the entire region. The final decision is anticipated in the next two weeks. They need to hear from us all the impact on our quality of lives, safety etc. The more Temecula residents they hear from, the better the opportunity to receive all or part of our request.
The Wolf Creek gym and office will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.
Hi everyone. Swim season is here and your health and safety are the primary concern of the Wolf Creek Board. Each resident intending on swimming in the pool is asked to shower before use. This is a recommendation from the Centers of Disease Control to reduce waterborne illness. Cryptosporidium is a bacteria that is not immediately sensitive to chlorine and can take up to 7 days to die in water. By taking a one minute shower, you greatly reduce the transmission of this bacteria to the pool and anyone that accidentally swallows pool water will be grateful you did. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
As you may know, it may rain on Saturday. If needed, the Safety Fair will be held indoors and will still be a great family event with public safety officers, educational opportunities, helpful safety information and a lot of wonderful food options!!! So, rain or shine, we are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday! Please review the attached flyer for additional information. Saturday, May 11, 2019 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Wolf Creek Community Center 31813 Murdock Lane (951) 506-6200
The Safety Fair is a great family event perfect for all ages! Please stop by, say hello, collect helpful safety information, and meet some of your local public safety officers. Saturday, May 11, 2019 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Wolf Creek Community Center 31813 Murdock Lane Temecula, CA 92592 (951) 506-6200 No reservations are necessary for this event. However, because the Safety Fair is held in the Community Center parking lot, you will need to bring your key fob to access the community center for restrooms or to enter the office.
As previously noted, the Community Center and Pool will be closed all day tomorrow, Tuesday, May 7th. It is time for our long term fire alarm and plumbed extinguisher system re-certification. This is an all day process and Fire Regulations require us to close the facility until all systems are up and running. We are taking advantage of that day to also lower the pools, clean and seal all pool tiles and shower tiles, Additionally, our handyman will be touching up paint throughout the community center. It takes 6-8 hours to refill the pool and thus it won't open until May 8th. Finally, with the pool open, we will have our pre-summer cleaning and service on the BBQ's, clean and seal the pool furniture to avoid sun and sun screen damage, steam clean the entire bathrooms etc. The Board apologizes for the inconvenience and hope you agree that this will improve the summer pool experience.
